Where and when do you hold your teaching sessions?
I am currently credentialed to meet students during school hours at University High School in Carmel, Indiana. I have availability on Mondays and Wednesdays and can accommodate your student's schedule.
Additionally, I am happy to meet any student on Monday or Wednesday after school hours at Barnes and Noble, 8675 River Crossing Boulevard (near the Fashion Mall at Keystone), or at another public place convenient for both of us. Contact me, and we can discuss options!
What should the student bring to a tutoring session?
A student should bring their math text or computer (for an on-line curriculum), their math notes from class, any homework which has been printed on paper, blank paper, pencils, an eraser, and their calculator. The student is also encouraged to bring any graded quizzes or tests so that we can go over their mistakes and make corrections.
How many sessions will the student need to schedule in order to see an improvement?
It depends on the individual student and to what extent they are struggling. After communicating with the parent and meeting with the student, I can have more of an idea what the student's needs are.
Typically, a student will benefit from one or two regularly scheduled sessions per week, but a few can reach their goals by making appointments as needed. I promise to give an honest recommendation, based on my years of experience, and we can make adjustments as the student gains the confidence that results from consistent growth.
What do you charge for your tutoring services?
My current one-on-one tutoring rate is $50 per one-hour session.
Payment is accepted by cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
What services are included in your rate?
• a free phone consultation with the parent,
• a complimentary 15 minutes added to the first tutoring session so that I can get to know the student and better understand their needs,
• the time I spend planning a lesson before each tutoring session,
• an initial e-mail to the teacher (with prior consent from student and parent),
• any future communications with parent and teacher, and
• reminder texts to students who walk or drive themselves to a session.

What is your cancellation policy?
I require at least 24-hours notice to cancel a tutoring session. If a session is cancelled with less than 24-hours notice, payment will be required in order to cover my preparation time and to retain the student's time slot.
